Jeri was honored to be the keynote speaker at Akademy 2021 on June 20. Akademy is the annual world summit of KDE.org, the international team that develops and distributes Free, Open Source Software for desktop and portable computing.

At the summit, Jeri delivered her most in-depth story yet, describing her journey as lifelong inventor, entrepreneur and maker.

The journey from farm girl to holograms has not been without its ups and downs. In a frank summary of her failures and successes, Jeri shares how obstacles were overcome through courage, persistence, a generous touch of stubbornness, and the help of mentors and advisors.
