Unpack the Kit

Remove all the components from the box.

Remove the Gameboard from the plastic sleeve. Then slowly and gently remove the thin protective film from the retroreflective surface of the Gameboard prior to use.

Please see the YouTube video links below showing how to setup your Gameboard:

The XE Gameboard comes with optional kickstands to raise part of the board for increased hologram depth and verticality.

Set up the kickstands at a 45° angle. When the kickstands are in the correct configuration there is a slightly debossed Tilt Five® logo visible on the back panel, facing away from the game board.

Set up the Glasses

Connect your Glasses to a supported Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC using the Tilt Five® USB-C cable and included USB-C to USB-A adapter if needed.

You must use a USB 3.0 port on the PC.

To ensure your cable is plugged in properly to your Glasses, there are guides located at the top and bottom of the cable to direct it.

Push on the angled or curved end of the USB-C cable toward the USB-C port on the Glasses until it is flush. You’ll feel it firmly click into place.

You will see the Tilt Five® icon in your task bar, click this to open the Tilt Five® Control Panel.

If the Glasses show as “Ready”  they are connected your computer standing by ready to go.

Troubleshooting

If you find your Glasses are unable to connect with your computer, ensure that both ends of the USB cable are inserted properly into your devices. Ensure that the connection is snug.

If you get “Unsupported USB Port” or other USB error messages, please try the following:

  • Reverse the USB-C cable to get a better connection. Unplug the cable from the Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC or USB-C to A adapter, rotate it 180 degrees, and plug it back in.
  • Try a different USB port on your computer. Some USB 3.0 ports may work better than others for providing consistent power and data connections to the Glasses. You may need to use the included USB-C to USB-A adapter.

How to find a usb 3 port

When looking at the physical ports on your computer, a USB 3.0 (or faster) port, may be marked by any of the following:

  • A color on the USB port itself, blue for 3.0, green/teal for 3.1, or red for 3.2
  • "SS" (Super Speed) or "3.0" markings next to the port
  • The USB SuperSpeed Trident logo

Many computer manufacturers do not clearly mark USB port versions. Unsure if your computer has USB 3.0 ports? Use the Windows Device Manager to check:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager and select open
  2. Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the bottom of the list
  3. Expand the dropdown and if you see USB 3.0, XHCI, or Super Speed listed, you have USB 3.0 ports.
